The Bristol Practice – Personalised GP Appointments
The Bristol Practice provides highly responsive, private GP support across the Bristol area, with home visits at the heart of their service. Focused on accessible, holistic medical care that fits around patients’ lives, they offer a trusted alternative to long waits and limited access often experienced in other healthcare settings.
Through our collaboration with The Bristol Practice, patients of The Independent Nurse benefit from a coordinated pathway that combines GP oversight with nurse-led clinical care. Our clinic also serves as a treatment room for services such as blood tests, wound care, ECGs, and lower limb assessments, allowing patients to receive both medical input and hands-on nursing support within a joined-up care pathway.
Patients receiving care at The Independent Nurse may also be referred to The Bristol Practice for GP input where required. This may include prescribing support for identified clinical needs and short clinical telephone consultations to help guide ongoing treatment or investigation.
As part of this arrangement, TIN patients are able to access these GP services at a preferential rate, helping ensure that timely medical advice remains accessible when additional input is needed.
Looking ahead, we are also exploring opportunities to host regular in-clinic GP appointments at our Bristol site, further expanding the flexibility and convenience of The Bristol Practice’s established home-visit model.
Better2Know - Sexual Health Testing
Better2Know is one of the world’s leading providers of confidential sexual health and STI testing, with an extensive network of clinics across the UK and internationally.
As an approved affiliate partner of Better2Know, patients of The Independent Nurse can access comprehensive sexual health testing in a safe and confidential clinical environment.
Our service provides fast, discreet testing for a wide range of infections, with many tests offering rapid or same-day results, alongside secure online reporting and access to expert guidance where needed.
Samples are collected by our NMC-registered nurses, ensuring professional care, accurate sample handling, and a supportive experience for patients. Where results indicate that treatment may be required, our established GP partnership allows us to arrange same-day medical advice and treatment pathways where appropriate, helping patients move quickly from testing to the care they need.
Through this relationship, we are able to offer reliable and discreet sexual health testing in Bristol, combining Better2Know’s trusted laboratory services with the clinical expertise and patient-centred care delivered at The Independent Nurse clinic.
